It’s Open Studio time again and I’m excited to show you my new work inspired by the wild flowers and elemental landscape of Ardnamurchan in N.W. Scotland.
I’m presenting my latest large painting ‘Iris Pseudachorus, Ardnamurchan'(above), 150x100cm, acrylic on wood panel. My new work is still informed by observation of the beautiful form and detail of the plants themselves, but I am seeking to express something more about their energy and a universal connection. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on this progression in relation to my older works at the studio.
I have small range of beautiful new artist-signed ‘giclee’ prints (above) and a new range of greetings cards, the colours are joyful.
I hope you can come. As usual I am part of Open Studios North Fife so there’s loads of interesting artists and makers to visit. You can find an online brochure, map and information about all the artists on their website.
I’ll be open Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th May 2024, 10am -5pm, at the ARTIST STUDIO, PLATFORM 2, LADYBANK RAILWAY STATION, LADYBANK, FIFE. KY15 7JT.
